B+P Gift Guide: Shop Small, Support Local

It’s Small Business Saturday! I am a big advocate for to shopping small + supporting local… and it’s been a particularly tough year for business owners to navigate with the pandemic causing everyone to shift gears on how they operate. I’ve been sourcing most of the items on my holiday gift list by shopping small, and I encourage you to do the same. It’s a little act with a big impact, and you might even find some goodies for yourself in the process!

Here are a few of my favorites, including any deals they’re currently offering:

Vintage Turkish rug from Apple & Oak
The Golden Slipper in Germantown is the dreamiest little spot!

Fun + Quirky

For the Bebes – Human + Four-Legged

My sweet college buddy, Leah, is the owner of Greens & Grains NC. Check out her Etsy shop for the plant lovers on your list!

Gardens of Babylon is my happy place.

For the Plant Bebes

Custom, “Have a holly Corgi Christmas” ornament from my friend Claire – owner of White Ink Calligraphy.

My sweet friend Lacey of Hennessey in the Home has the coolest custom art offerings – she truly does it ALL!

Clothing + Shoes

An everyday staple: my evil eye necklace from Cosmic Charlies. I love every piece I’ve ever purchased!
Another local jewelry maker, MLDED, offers beautiful + handmade clay earrings and accessories.

Jewelry + Accessories

Brunch + CBD… what’s not to love? Anzie Blue is opening a new space in Hillsboro Village next week!
CURED is one of my favorite nail salons in Nashville. So beautiful and zen.

Beauty + Health + Wellness

Food + Beverage

I also want to point out that I realize many people are not in a position to shell out extra money this holiday season… but you can still support small and local businesses without spending a dime. You can follow, like and engage with them on social media, or even share the deals they’re offering on your Instagram stories. Word-of-mouth goes a long way!

Thanks for shopping small + supporting local. Let me know if there are any other businesses I should check out in the comments and as always, many thanks for being here.
