Tortoise Accessories

No matter the season, I don’t think there’s anything quite as classic as an accent of tortoise. Be it in the form of sunglasses, hoops or subtle details on a bag or sandals… tortoise instantly elevates an outfit. Even when I shop secondhand at thrift or antique stores, I always keep an eye out for fun tortoise accessories (see my recent Goodwill find below).

This bag was a Goodwill find! I love the tortoise beads against the woven straw body – it’s the perfect summer bag.

One thing I particularly love is that most of these pieces are appropriate to wear now and throughout the rest of the year too. In terms of styling, keep it simple and stylish… a white button-up, jeans and a tortoise necklace, earrings or sandals = classic and timeless.

Tortoise hoops are always my go-to… I have and love these from ABLE, a company local to Nashville that focuses on sustainability and ethical fashion. I’ve seen so many great summer slides with tortoise buckles lately – I recently bought this pair and they are insanely comfortable. This fun straw hat would make a great addition to your suitcase for a beach vacation. Lately, blue light blockers from my friends at Nectar have been saving my eyes while I work from home – psst, use code EBGABRI to save 15% on your purchase. And finally, if you’re an Apple Watch wearer and ever want to switch out to a fancier band, I highly recommend this option from Amazon.

Are you a tortoise fan, too? What are some of your favorite pieces? Let me know in the comments and thanks for being here!

Cheers,

E
