3 Ways to Style a Two-Piece Set

Hello friends!

Admittedly, it has been a while since I sat down to write anything more than a grocery list, and that makes me sad. This blog is something I started because I genuinely love sharing ideas with y’all! Given all of the craziness of life lately, it’s just been difficult to find the time.

But here we are!

Today’s post is centered around a really popular trend right now – the two-piece set. They seem to be everywhere and I am HERE for it for a few reasons…

  1. They make getting dressed insanely easy – just throw on both pieces, add a few accessories and you’re set.
  2. For fancier occasions (like a wedding) you can achieve the look of a jumpsuit, without the hassle of having to strip naked every time you go to the bathroom. MAJOR win.
  3. You’re only adding two pieces to your closet – a top and some form of bottoms – but if you get a little creative with the pieces you already own, the styling opportunities can be endless!

Enter my two-piece set which, I’m sad to share, is no longer available (don’t worry, I linked some other favorites of mine further down). I love the alternating black and white patterns on the top and skirt – plus each piece is light, airy and universally flattering. Here’s how I styled the set a couple of different ways:

The set is so cute as-is! I styled it with basic black pumps and a fun pair of earrings for a little pop of color. Just add a blazer or cardigan for the office, then lose it for happy hour.
Date night look: I tucked the top into my mom jeans, threw on some heels and grabbed my favorite vintage clutch.
When the temps cool down, this skirt is the perfect length to wear with a boxy/slouchy sweater and some booties.

In case you missed it, this week I rejoined the full-time work force, so having pieces that can be worn a number of ways is going to make putting together outfits so much easier. I’m sorry this particular set isn’t available anymore, BUT here are a few others that I think have a ton of styling potential:

So do you have a two-piece set in your closet already? Have you styled one multiple ways? I’d love to know – drop me a line below in the comments. I’m excited to share more with y’all soon. Many thanks as always for following along, even when life gets crazy!

Cheers,

E
