Sister Style: 1 Skirt, 2 Ways

Hey hey!

For the last week, my sister has been in town. She had to come to Nashville for work this week anyway but lucky for us, she decided to fly in a little early so that we could all spend some time together. If you’re fortunate enough to live in the same city/state as your sibling, I envy you! It’s been so great having her nearby.

Back when I started this whole blogging journey, I was bouncing some content ideas off of Amanda because she’s a creative genius. She suggested the brilliant idea of having us each style one identical piece two ways. We tend to end up with a LOT of the same items in our closets because we have very like-minded taste. That said, the way we style these pieces is different. For example, she’s a boss babe and works in a corporate environment, whereas my day-to-day can be more casual/playful.

In this instance, I found an amazing snakeskin midi skirt on Amazon (the price will have you shook). She opted for a dressier look, while I went for a throw-on-and go style. Personally, I really love the results!

Amanda’s look: skirt | tank (old, linking similar) | wedges

My look: skirt | tee (low stock, another fave tee here)| sandals | earrings

The skirt is so, so good. We both ordered a medium and I’d say it’s TTS with a high-waist cut. It’s light and flowy… perfect for summer. I feel like I can definitely carry this over into the fall/winter too – I’ll just add a slouchy cropped sweater and some booties.

I hope y’all enjoyed this post – we certainly had a blast putting it together! What do you think – should we do more of these sister-styled-sessions? Do you and your siblings have similar style, or is it a night and day situation? Let me know in the comments below and as ALWAYS, thanks so much for following along!
