I alluded to this in my Instagram post yesterday, but it has been one of those weeks that seems to drag on and on. Needless to say, I’m excited that the weekend is almost here!
One of my favorite weekend activities is to make a Trader Joe’s run. It’s no secret that I’m an avid TJ’s shopper, and one of these days I’ll put together an entire shopping list for y’all (I promise). In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share a few non-food items I love that always make their way into my cart…
Fresh Flowers + Candles
Trader Joe’s has an amazing selection of fresh flowers at prices that can’t be beat. This time of year, I love to keep a vase of hydrangeas, sunflowers or peonies in our apartment… really just livens up the place. And speaking of peonies, TJ’s summer candle scent is Peony Blossom and it smells incredible. I tend to stock up on these candles when I make a grocery run – they’re nice to have around to place in a hall bath, if the power goes out during a summer thunderstorm, or they make a wonderful impromptu hostess gift! Keep an eye out all year – they release different seasonal scents (the evergreen candle they have at Christmas is my JAM).
Laundry Detergent + Dryer Bags
I recently hopped on the TJ’s laundry detergent train and I have to say, I am loving it so far! It’s made from natural ingredients, gets our clothes clean and it smells really fresh. The lavender dryer bags are a nice alternative to traditional dryer sheets – each pouch can be used 10-12 times. The sweet girl at checkout also suggested placing them in dresser drawers or your pillowcase – love those ideas! These would also make a great addition to a housewarming basket, or in a care package for someone who’s about to head off to college.
This hand soap smells so amazing, I have a container in our kitchen AND in our bathroom. I think the grapefruit scent is only available in the spring/summer, but Trader Joe’s has great options for soap, body wash, lotions and much more all year round. In fact, I rounded up a few of my favorite beauty products awhile back.. you can find that list here.
What are some of your favorite non-food items from Trader Joe’s? Anything you’ve discovered recently that I should try? Let me know in the comments and thanks so much for reading and sharing!
