Simple, Healthy Snacks with Wasa USA

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

We’re officially halfway through the week and I don’t know about y’all… but returning to reality after such a fun trip to Michigan last week has been struggle city. We enjoyed eight glorious days full of all the best F-words: family, friends, fun, and most of all… FOOD.

Aside from an unfortunate Sonic corn dog relapse, I’ve been trying to get back on the health horse the last few days. Lucky for me, my friends at Wasa USA recently sent me an amazing package containing a few of their different crackers and they’ve been an absolute lifesaver in helping me make quick, healthy and delicious snacks all week.

So, I thought it might be fun to kick off a new mini blog series where I can share some of my favorite Wasa recipes with you guys. Every #WasaWednesday, I’ll be posting a new combination, with each recipe requiring five ingredients or less!

Let’s get started with one of my personal favorites… the Peanut Butter Banana Wasa Crispbread.

One of the things I love most about Wasa crackers is how hearty they are. They’re chock full of fiber so I feel satisfied enough to refrain from grazing all day. They also hold toppings extremely well, which is why there are so many amazing combinations out there! Plus, each cracker is only 35 calories. So if you’re trying to eat well without feeling like you’re sacrificing anything, Wasa just might be the perfect snack for you.

This particular combo is a go-to for breakfast when I’m craving something sweet. It also makes a great post-workout snack. All you need are Wasa crackers of your choice (I’m using the sourdough whole grain crispbreads here), peanut butter, a banana, cinnamon, and honey.

It’s so easy and delicious – here’s how I make it:

Ingredients:

Wasa Sourdough Whole Grain Crispbreads

Peanut butter of your choice (I prefer creamy unsalted)

1-2 ripe bananas, sliced

Clover honey (or honey of your choice)

Ground cinnamon (to taste, I sprinkle v generously)

Directions:

Generously slather peanut butter onto the Wasa crispbreads. Arrange banana slices on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Drizzle honey on top. Enjoy!
