Can you believe that Easter is this weekend? The year is flying by way too fast. Normally, I am notorious for waiting until the last minute to pick out an Easter dress, but this year I was actually proactive – for several reasons…
- Easter is “early” this year.
- I knew we were moving to Nashville the week before and I’d probably (read: definitely) forget.
- I found this little beauty from XOmandysue and fell in love:
Sadly, my dress is currently sold out but I wanted to share a few options that, if I were still looking, would definitely be at the top of my list:
First up is this ivory and pastel maxi dress by ModCloth. The colors and pattern are so spot-on for spring and I love the high-neck halter style. It also comes in a darker pattern that is also lovely!
Next is this adorable shift, also by ModCloth. It comes in 3 different colors, but I particularly love this retro daisy motif. You could easily rock this dress all spring and through the summer. Orders over $75 get free shipping, but there are also express options if you need it faster. ModCloth offers a 15% discount for first-time customers (just sign up for emails) and currently enrolled college students, too!
Next is this tweed shift dress from Anthropologie. The stripes are a refreshing twist if you’re not into floral patterns. Plus, it’s loaded with detail like pockets and a fringe hem. This dress would also be great to wear to pair with a cardigan and flats for work. Right now, Anthro sale items are an extra 25% off and also make sure to see if your local store has it in stock – you’ll save time and money!
It’s going to be hard to put into words how much I love this jumpsuit from Free People… but I’ll try. First of all, it looks SO flowy and comfortable. Again, if you’re not into florals (or dresses for that matter), this is a nice option that you can wear now and later. I love the detailed flutter sleeves and cutout details across the chest. Plus, if you’re a bride-to-be, this might just be perfect for an upcoming shower, a more casual rehearsal dinner or if you’re honeymooning somewhere warm. Keep in mind that if you have a local Free People store, you may be able to choose in-store pick-up. They also offer express shipping!
Finally, if you’re looking for a more casual, budget-friendly option, this cute little wrap dress is only $25 and miiight just be perfect for you. It is part of the A New Day collection at Target and I love that it can be dressed up for Easter (with nude pumps and a clutch), or dressed down with simple sneakers as pictured. Target offers express shipping options where you could get it delivered as soon as next-day, but keep in mind that you can also order online and pick-up in store (usually within 2 days), or check online to see if your local store has it!
My biggest goal in buying a dress (or anything for that matter) is normally to pick one that I can wear on multiple occasions, and I think these are all solid options at attainable price points. If you’re still on the hunt, I hope this post provides you with some inspiration!
We will be traveling to my hometown of Little Mountain, SC to visit family this weekend and we’re pretty excited that now we can actually just get in the car and drive with Babs instead of having to fly. What about you guys… do you buy a new dress/outfit for Easter every year, or do you wear something you already have? How do you celebrate?
